Man threatens to jump from motorway bridge

A man threatened to jump from a motorway bridge yesterday evening (Tuesday 10 June).
It is understood that Manchester Road, Castleton, Rochdale near Trows Lane and OMC Ford was closed for a short time from around 7.00pm whilst police dealt with the incident.
A spokesperson for the police said: “The man came down and is safe.”
The road was later re-opened.
