Two men have been arrested following related stabbing incidents at Parklife Festival at Heaton Park.
At around 7.30pm on Saturday 7 June police officers were called into the venue to assist security personnel after reports that two men had been stabbed during a fight.
One victim was taken to MRI with serious but non-life threatening injuries and remains in a stable condition at the hospital.
The other victim was treated at the on-site medical facility and then discharged by medical staff.
Following swift work by officers on the ground at the event, two men, aged 26 and 22, have been arrested in relation to the attack.
Officers were also called to several other assaults that resulted in three men being injured, but it is unclear whether weapons were used in these attacks at this stage.
Chief Inspector Gary Simpson said: "There have been a few isolated incidents at Parklife Weekender Festival which we believe have involved a weapon and have caused to injuries to five men.
As a result, GMP have instigated an investigation which has resulted in two men being arrested at the venue."
