Woman cut from car after collision with lorry
A woman had to be cut from her car this morning (Friday 6 June) after her car collided with a lorry.
The incident happened just before 9:40am on Oldham Road near its junction with Craiglands.
Police and fire crews from Rochdale attended the scene with the roof of the White Vauxhall Astra car being cut off to free the woman.
The woman and the driver of the lorry, understood to be a man, were taken to hospital for a check up and it is understood that no serious injuries were sustained.
Eyewitnesses stated that the lorry was “stood still” at the time of the collision.
