Bridgeability players invited to Bridge Junior Football Club presentation

Date published: 06 June 2014

Bridgeability players have been invited to a special end of season awards presentation by Bridge Junior Football Club this weekend.

Bridgeability, a football initiative for disabled children and children with an Special Educational Needs (SEN) statement, began in 2013 with Redwood Secondary School and Link4Life supporting the initiative.

This will be the first public showing of the players with them being recognised as part of Bridge AFC in front of other club players and parents.

Bridgeability manager, Gary Smith said: “This is a great step forward in the development of the club and all it stands for. I would like to thank the parents of all of the players for their continued support. This is essential for the development and progress of the club. Please continue to support Bridgeability, with your support we can do some great things for these young footballers.”

Based on their time with bridegability, twelve boys from Redwood Secondary School have regularly represented Rochdale AFC over the past season in the ability counts.
