Wilds of Rochdale building collapses

Milnrow Road from its junction with Rochdale Road is currently closed in both directions due to the collapse of Wilds of Rochdale
Milnrow Road from its junction with Oldham Road is currently closed in both directions due to the collapse of Wilds of Rochdale. Oldham Road from Wood Street to Drake Street is also closed in both directions.
It is understood that work was being undertaken on the building which resulted in it becoming unsafe.
No one was injured as a result of the collapse and nearby businesses were evacuated from the area.
Demolition workers are currently on site making the building and area safe.
