Fisherfield Farm Nursery open day in aid of NSPCC

Date published: 31 May 2014

Fisherfield Farm Nursery on Edinburgh Way in Rochdale held an open day today (Saturday 31 May) to raise money for the NSPCC.

The event included face painting, tombolas, a number of stalls and an appearance by 'Mickey Mouse'.

Nursery manager Nadia Salim said: “We often hold a number of events like this throughout the year to raise money for the NSPCC.

“Usually with an event like this we would look at raising about £700 but anything would be great.”

All of the Fisherfield Farm nurseries across the borough raise money for the NSPCC.

“It is a good way to teach the children about the charity and to show them that not all children are as lucky as each other,” added Nadia.

The event also had help and support from local businesses and parents of children at the nursery.

Nadia added: “We have had great support for the event. We have had a good turn out as well and the parents have been really supportive.”
