What: Anti-Social Behaviour caused by youths drinking and criminal damage.
Where: Stansfield Estate around Drake Road and Barnes Meadow.

Action being undertaken - extra divisional resources from Rochdale Division patrolling hot spot areas, Stop and search tactics, arresting offenders and gathering intelligence about such offences.

Smallbridge/Firgrove

Officers from the Rochdale East Team carried out a positive drugs warrant in the Smallbridge area this month where a large quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia were recovered. A male was arrested, charged and remanded in custody.

Domestic burglary:

Between 26/05/14 23:50 and 23:55 on The Thimbles an unknown offender entered the building via an insecure ground floor and took off with a bunch of keys, purse and a handbag, which had been left on the kitchen work top.

Between 23/05/14 – 09:00 – 17:00 – Dover Street an unknown offender gained entry via a door which was insecure due to work going on at the address. The offender stole an unattached gas meter from the address and made off unseen.

Between 09/05/14 23:15 and 10/05/14 1:35 on Green Meadow unknown offenders gained entry through the dog flap. Searched through a handbag and removed vehicle keys. One offender is charged and the other is still being pursued.

Between 08/05/14 15:00 and 15:30 on Shore View an unknown offender entered the property via an insecure door before going into the kitchen and searching the cupboards. The offender made off unseen.

Between – 07/05/14 – 10:30 – 17:15 – Offenders climbed over gate into the rear garden before using an unknown object to smash the kitchen window. No entry was gained and the offenders made off.

Between 01/05/14 10:00 & 15:24 on Albert Royds an unknown offender approached the house through the back garden and used a brick to smash the kitchen window. The offenders gained entry through the kitchen finding the key in the door. The offenders made an untidy search damaging the property and taking off with a few items.

Between 17/02/14 21:00 & 18/02/14 07:00 on Willows Lane unknown offenders attempted to make an entry through back garden. No entry was gained into the property but the door handle was damaged.

New Team Member

CSO 69355 Mir joined the Smallbridge Team after successfully passing the recruitment process followed by eight weeks training at Sedgley Park Complex then for the last eight weeks he has been shadowing PCSO Reynolds and other PCSOs.

Today is his final day shadowing and Monday he will begin his career as an independent PCSO.

Domestic burglary

Between 10/05/14 03:45 on Newhouse Close. Two Unknown offenders approached the open drive way. Using unknown implements they reached a key from the top of a radiator to gain entry then took off with vehicle keys and a handbag.

Between 10/05/14 03:30 and 04:00 on East Street an unknown offender climbed a window ledge to try and gain entry through a insecure window. The occupant woke up and the unknown offender took off.

Between 03/05/14 18:25 and 18:28 – Arms Road unknown offenders used tools from an insecure garden shed to attempt to prise open the main door. The offenders were unsuccessful and made off unseen.

Between 03/05/14 16:35 – 16:40 – Tarnside Close an unknown offender entered the secure garden and smashed a window before removing items from within and placing them on the ground. The offender then attempted to climb through the window which activated the alarm and the offender made off.

Between 02/05/14 22:40 – 22:50 – Unknown offenders gained entry to the property via an insecure door and made off unseen after taking two laptops and a handbag.

Castleton

Priorities
Anti Social Behaviour at Chesham Ave, on an evening and weekends.
Anti-Social behaviour at Sydney Barnes Close, Castleton on an evenings and weekends and school holidays.
Speeding vehicles on Manchester Road daytime and evening.

Milnrow and Newhey

Priorities

Youths occasionally outside Tesco Express and in the area of the precinct asking adults to buy alcohol for them.
The new skate park has now been installed and younger youths are now using this during the evening and there have been a few reports of ASB.
Reports of youths gathering in the area, drinking and causing general annoyance.

Domestic burglary

Station Road – 21st May 20:30 – Unknown offender forces entry into the property whilst the victim is inside. The offender made off stealing the victims glasses.

Surgery Dates

Police surgeries for 2014 will be at the Co-operative Food Store car park, Dale Street, Milnrow. The surgeries will all be held on Saturday’s at 10am- 12noon. The dates for the next meetings are:

New PCSO: PCSO 69039 Broome

Candice Broome has just finished her ten weeks tutor phase and will start as an independent PCSO on Wednesday 4 June in the Milnrow Area.

Kirkholt

Priorities
Off road bikes across the Kirkholt beats in general.
Look into finding out who owns the bikes as they can not always be safely pursued.
ASB - Youths throwing items off bridges. A patrol will still attend incidents however PCSOs are to look into attending local schools and doing a talk in relation to the dangers.

You can also help to set the priorities that the Police tackle, so it is important that you attend these meetings and have your voice heard. Domestic burglary

27/05/14 23:15 on Great Gates Road an unknown offender approached the front of the property. He then kicked the front door several times causing the front lock to smash off. The offender was disturbed by the family dog. Just before taking off the offender shouted a few comments at the occupant.

23/05/14 15:00 on Hilltop Drive an unknown offender approached the side of a property on the ground floor. Using a brick the offender smashed the window which then made it easy to reach in to the door handle. The offender conducted a tidy search then tried to rip off the alarm box. The offender took off with a little TV in a black bin bag.

Between 19/05/14 15:45 and 18:10 on Queensway an unknown offender gained entry through garden and by smashing a door. The offender then entered the dining room and stole a few goods and then tried going further into the building but couldn’t get any further due to secured locks.

Between 15/05/14 00:01 and 09:10 on Avoncliffe Close an unknown offender gained entry to the ground floor into the kitchen via insecure window. The offender conducted a search then took off with a few items, including motor vehicle parked on the road.

Between 10/05/14 00:00 and 12/05/14 14:36 Mornington Road unknown offenders failed to gain entry through the front using an object but caused slight damage. The offenders took off in a unknown direction

Between 07/05/14 15:00 and 16:00 on Ruskin Road an unknown offender approached a terrace house then climbed onto a shed and used a metal bar to attempt entry. The offender failed and headed off in a unknown direction.

Between 06/05/14 17:15 - 18:00 on Perth Road an unknown offender attempted to gain entry through a secured lock. The offender then took off leaving the door handle damaged.
