Dr Rob Levy in new paediatrics role to support children in Rochdale

Dr Rob Levy will help provide assessments and manage care for young people with neuro-development disorders and complex health needs such as Cerebral Palsy
A new paediatrician working with children with complex health needs in Rochdale has been appointed by an NHS Trust.
Dr Rob Levy will help provide assessments and manage care for young people with neuro-development disorders and complex health needs such as Cerebral Palsy.
Dr Levy will work within Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust’s Community Paediatric Team and will also facilitate medical assessments for children with special educational needs and carry out health assessments for children who are about to be adopted or fostered.
His role will help the service take a holistic approach to take supporting children with complex needs and their families.
Eventually it is hoped the department will be able to launch new bespoke services close to home for families such as an epilepsy service.
Dr Levy said: “I’m really looking forward to helping to develop a social and family-orientated approach to care for children with complex needs in Rochdale.”
Dr Levy trained at Manchester Medical School and originally worked as a GP before training at the North West Deanery in Paediatrics.
He was then a Consultant Paediatrician in Pennine Acute Trust in Oldham, Bury & Wigan and has a special interest in Epilepsy, Neurology and Neuro-disability.
