Rewards Evening to celebrate pupil’s hard work

Wardle Academy pupils were invited to attend the first Rewards Evening in the new school building on Thursday 22 May. Pupils from Year 7 to 10 were awarded a range of prizes to celebrate their hard work.
Each subject awarded a subject prize and a progress prize for each year group, with Year 7 also having awards for Foundation Learning and Community Spirit.
Three special awards were given out on the evening as well:
- The Nick Shaw Memorial Cup, presented to a talented footballer who exhibits outstanding leadership qualities and team spirit, was awarded to Liam Healey in Year 9;
- The Margaret Pennington Trophy for Girls, awarded to a female student who has excellent sporting skills in many areas of physical education, was awarded to Lily Morgan in Year 9
- The Thompson Technology Trophy, awarded to a student with outstanding technology skills who has original ideas and is innovative, with a natural passion and flair for all areas of the subject, was awarded to Eleanor Murphy in Year 10.
Well done to all the pupils who received awards.
