Nursery children welcome police helicopter
Date published: 22 May 2014
PCSOs Abigail Shepherd and Dominique Grimes attended Our Lady and St Pauls Primary School, Darnhill, Heywood on Tuesday (20 May) to help the nursery children welcome the police helicopter as part of their 'People that help us' course coinciding with the GMP helicopter amalgamating with neighbouring police forces and conducting a farewell tour.
There was a mixture of excitement and trepidation amongst the children who were able to get up close and aboard the helicopter whilst it remained firmly on the school playing field before taking off and making a bow to the waving children.
