Chicks at Kentmere
Date published: 20 May 2014
Children at Kentmere Primary have been learning about ‘Growth and Change’.
As part of the topic the Reception children have been watching the chicks hatch out of their eggs and observing how they grow and change.
They have been using the experience to help them in their writing too.
The children’s parents were invited into school for the afternoon to see the chicks and be part of their child’s learning.
A school spokesperson said: "The children were so excited last week to finally hold the chicks.
"We would like to say big thank you to the parents who came to our chick afternoon.
"We hope you enjoyed holding a chick and looking at the work that the children have been doing."
