Josefa Terim raises £220 after completing the London Marathon

Josefa Terim has raised £220 for Suubi Children’s Home Uganda after completing the London Marathon.

She completed the marathon in four and a half hours and described the atmosphere as “tremendous.”

Helen Jungmayr, who runs the home with her husband Herman, said: “We are really pleased that Josefa got the chance to take part in the marathon. I know it was something she was really excited about.”

Money raised will now go to the Suubi Children’s Home in Uganda which supports children living in Uganda without any known relatives. The home currently cares for 33 children born between 1998 and 2000.

The money will specifically go towards helping pay the costs of children who are attending secondary school. Children need to attend school completely kitted out and even have to take their own toilet paper.

Helen added: “Every little helps and I think it will also bring to people's attention the fact that there are people in other parts of the world struggling and who are less fortunate than us.”
