Police News - Rochdale East

Officers will be out and about again this weekend as part of Operation Rockport which focuses on tackling anti-social behaviour across the Rochdale East Area. A team of officers, PCSOs and Special Constables will be out in a police carrier with the sole focus being on reducing anti-social behaviour (ASB) in ASB Hotspots. Officers have received positive feedback in relation to Rockport.

Newhouse Close, 10 May: Two offenders reached through a letterbox and retrieved keys to gain entry to the dwelling and steal property and car keys to two vehicles; both vehicles were stolen.

East Street, 10 May: an offender attempted to climb through an insecure bedroom window. The occupant woke and the offender made off.

Smallbridge & Firgrove

Green Meadow, Between 9 & 10 May: Offenders entered the property by the rear door and stole keys to a vehicle and then the vehicle. One offender has been detained.

Noble Meadow, 7 May: Offenders used an unknown object to smash a kitchen window and reached through in an attempt to, unsuccessfully, unlock the window.

Burglary Dwelling - 3

Avoncliffe Close, 15 May: Offender/s entered ground floor through an insecure kitchen window. They stolen item including car keys and made off with several items and the motor vehicle.

Mornington Road, between 10 - 12 May: Offenders attempted, unsuccessfully, to gain entry through the front door.

Wellfield Mews, 8 May: Offender entered the house through an insecure back door and stole a mobile phone and a front door key.

Burglary Dwelling - 4

Lonsdale Avenue, 13 May: Offender approached the rear upvc door and attempted, unsuccessfully, to gain entry to property.

Milnrow Road, 12 May: Offenders climbed through an insecure ground floor window and stole property, mkaing off via the point of entry.

Rowland Court, between 10 – 11 May: Offender/s forced the front door causing damage to locks and gained entry. Once inside the property, the offenders stole two TVs.

Ouldfield Close, 8 May: Offenders entered the vacant property by removing boarding from the ground floor window and stole the boiler and pipework.
