Callum Nairn, aged 15, has been missing since 8 May 2014 when he attended Manchester Royal Infirmary for assessment of a foot injury.
He attended the hospital, but did not return to his home address in Rochdale.
Callum is 6ft 4in tall with dark blond hair. He was last seen wearing a green jumper, orange t-shirt, grey jeans and trainers. He could be walking with a limp due to the injury to his foot.
Callum is originally from Blackburn, but has recently moved to Rochdale.
Detective Constable Sam Taylor from Rochdale division, said: “Callum has been missing for nine days and along with his friends and family we are concerned for his welfare.
“Callum is originally from Blackburn and it is thought he could be in the company of a 17-year-old boy from that area.
“He has links to both Rochdale and Blackburn, but could also be in the Manchester city centre area.
“Callum, if you're reading this, please get in touch. You are not in any trouble, people just want to know you are okay.
“If anyone has any information about Callum and where he might be, please contact police on 0161 856 4557.”
