Staff at McBride in Middleton support Springhill Hospice Go Green Day
McBride in Middleton supported Springhill Hospice and their Go Green day today (Friday 16 May).
Staff from the company wore green clothes and wigs throughout the day to raise money for the Hospice.
As well as wearing green all day, the company decorated their reception area with green balloons and hospice posters and were offering green sweets to customers.
Some members of staff also baked green cakes for the event.
To celebrate their 25th anniversary Springhill Hospice asked people, businesses and schools to embrace the colour green by holding green themed fundraising events or to just wear green clothes throughout the day to raise money for the Hospice.
Springhill Hospice relies heavily on donations from the local community to keep their services running. It costs £3m a year to keep the doors of Springhill Hospice open.
The service provided by Springhill Hospice would not be possible without the generosity of the local community to help with funding for medical equipment and daily essentials.
