Image of man wanted in connection with serious assault

Police have released the image of a man wanted in connection with a serious assault in Rochdale.

At around 8pm on Wednesday 30 April 2014 the victim was driving his moped on Brotherod Hall Road in Rochdale, when a vehicle deliberately forced him off the road before running over his legs. The victim suffered serious injuries, the severity of which is at this time unknown.

Roger Balint (21/03/1990) is suspected of a serious assault.

Detective Constable Russell Clarke said: "Members of the public are asked not to approach Balint as he is thought to be dangerous, so if you see him contact the police immediately on 999."

Anyone with any information about the man's whereabouts is asked to call the Neighbourhood Policing Team at Rochdale on 0161 856 9961 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
