Motorcyclist seriously injured

A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries, following a collision in Heywood.
At about 6.50pm on Wednesday 14 May 2014 a Vauxhall Insignia car and a Kawasaki ZX 1000 motorcycle collided on Bury New Road, near to the junction of Longridge Drive, Heywood.
The motorcyclist has a broken arm and leg and was taken to Salford Royal Hospital.
No-one else was hurt in the collision, police are appealing for witnesses.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741.
