Baby Play Baby Do

Date published: 07 May 2014

Touchstones creative baby play project, ‘Baby Play Baby Do’, held in the Art Gallery, saw parents invited to let their babies crawl, cry and gurgle amongst the exhibitions.

The free drop-in session led by Sensory play specialist Frances Walker offered babies to explore interesting textures, colours, objects and fabrics in exhibition.

Baby Play Baby Do is also a fantastic opportunity to meet other parents and babies and take time out in a different environment.

Parents comments included:

  • “Nice Relaxing atmosphere, friendly, and lots of learning activities. My Grandson loved it.”
  • “Excellent session – really nicely laid out. Resources are very creative and easy to recreate at home.”
  • “We had a brilliant time playing with lots of new materials. Excellent sensory play.”
  • “ Wonderful session. We’ve both enjoyed ourselves (with) all the great materials. It’s been a real pleasure.”

The project is run in partnership with Brighter Sound and is funded by AGMA through Greater Manchester Arts Officers Network. For more information on Baby Play Baby Do please contact Touchstones Rochdale:
