President of Middleton Rotary Club, Stuart Sawle presents regalia to Presidentof Rotary Club of Nkumba, Michale Muriithi
Michael Muriithi, the president of the Rotary Club of Nkumba, Uganda recently paid a visit to the Rotary Club of Middleton and the Rotary Club of Heywood.
The Rotary Club of Nkumba was chartered in December 2013. As part of his visit, Michael was looking to procure regalia for the new club.
The President of the Rotary Club of Middleton, and the incoming District Governor for Rotary District 1280, Stuart Sawle, had been a member of the former Rotary Club of Rochdale Eighty Six. He and other former members of Rochdale Eighty Six took the opportunity to present the Regalia of the former Club to the new Rotary Club of Nkumba.
These were gratefully received by Rotarian Muriithi on behalf of the Ugandan Club.
Last year the Rotary Club of Heywood assisted the Ugandan Rotary Club with a donation of £250. The donation was given towards a health day initiative which was carried out by the Rotary Club of Nkumba in Kampala Uganda.
During a business visit to the UK, President Michael Muriithi thanked Rotary members in Heywood as well as updating them on the club's progress.
