Date published: 03 May 2014
Members of the Rochdale Ramblers are planning to hold a walk on the day the Tour De France passes through Littleborough and two members are hoping to help break the world record for bunting.
Freda Moody and Janet Lindley are helping Cragg Vale Bunting with their efforts at breaking the record and have completed 150 metres of bunting to put on display along the Tour De France route up Cragg Vale.
The Rochdale Ramblers will be joined on their walk by Tameside Ramblers as well as Manchester and Salford groups.
Final plans for the walk are still to be confirmed as the group is waiting to hear back from Rochdale Council’s Planning Department regarding road closures for the day.
