The calendar judging panel met yesterday (Friday 2 May) to choose the winners for the 2015 Hospice calendar.

The fund-raising team is now in to week two of a four week moving process to move into the Craven Heifer, where the fund-raising offices will now be located.

It is anticipated that the Hospice to Hospice walk has raised around £8,000.

The Hospice collected donations at last week's Rochdale football game and raised £470.

The Yorkshire Bank curry and comedy night raised £3,500 for the Hospice and £1,100 for Hospice at Home.

The Hospice has now received their alcohol licence for the Yesteryear Festival, which will take place on the 2 and 3 of August.

Dates for the Diary

Sunday 4 May - Pooley’s Family Fun Day. The event will be held at Graham Poole transport and will include a car boot sale, digger rides and crafts.

Woman of Rochdale

The Woman of Rochdale luncheon takes place next Friday (9 May). Tickets for the event are almost sold out. Organisers of the event have met with the Town Hall management this week. Denis Hope will be running a fashion show during the event.

Go Green for Springhill

RRG, Rollers in Manchester, Sainsbury’s in Littleborough, the Contact Centre at Number One Riverside, Rochdale Hornets, Laroche Daycare and Bamford Contractors have all signed up to take part in the Go Green event.

Coffee Options in the Exchange Shopping Centre will be wearing green tshirts as well as holding a green raffle and cake sale.

St Cuthbert’s Secondary School will be holding a green cake bake sale and will be a displaying a banner on their railings to advertise the event.
