Met Office Meteorologists are forecasting dry and fine weather for many over the Bank Holiday weekend, in contrast to the forecast earlier in the week!
Saturday is looking to be the best day for sunshine after a chilly night with local frost.
There will be more in the way of cloud on Sunday with some rain in places; however it will still be a reasonable day for many.
Brighter, sunnier conditions then spread northwards on Bank Holiday Monday.
Events around the borough of Rochdale include:
Friday: St Leonard's Church, Middleton, an architectural gem is open.
Saturday: Kirkholt Million International Food Festival.
Sunday: Rochdale Hornets v Swinton Lions, Fire Service Museum Open Day - Fire Power on Parade, The Peter Cowap Music Festival, Pooley's Family Fun Day, May Days Gone By, Dawn Chorus, Meet a hedgehog and Barn Owl.
Monday: Dragon Race on Hollingworth Lake and Middleton May Day Celebrations and Middleton May Day Parade.
