Trains terminated due to fatality

Train services are currently delayed between Manchester and Leeds due to a fatality at Summit Tunnel, Littleborough this afternoon (Monday 28 April)
A person was hit and killed by the 14:37 Leeds to Manchester train at Summit Tunnel, Littleborough this afternoon (Monday 28 April).
National Rail were made aware of the incident just before 4.00pm and it is understood that The British Transport Police are on route to the scene.
The route between Manchester Victoria and Leeds has been affected with delays to services.
Replacement bus services are available for passengers between Rochdale and Hebden Bridge.
Network Rail are on site with police and the emergency services.
