Smallbridge Textiles Mill destroyed by fire
A mill is on fire in Dyehouse Lane, Smallbridge.
The fire at Smallbridge Textiles was reported to have started at 5.00am this morning (26 April).
The fire brigade is fighting the fire at the two storey mill with four fire engines and an aerial appliance.
Greater Manchester Police and representatives from Rochdale Council are also at the scene and it is understood the fire brigade has sent their air unit up to get more information on the extent of the fire.
There are no reports of any casualties.
UPDATE (11.00am): A spokesperson for the fire brigade has confirmed the fire is now out but fire fighters remain at the mill, which has been destroyed, doing checks.
