Anti-social behaviour at Milnrow Skate Park

Date published: 25 April 2014

An incident of anti-social behaviour at Milnrow Skate Park was reported last night (Thursday 24 April).

Reports of a youth from the local area throwing scooters and causing havoc on the park were made to Irene Davidson, Secretary of Friends of Milnrow Park.

Irene said: “I was quite annoyed because this is the first report of anti-social behaviour that we have had at the park since it opened.”

The park has received a positive reaction from local residents and the local police in regards to it stopping anti social behaviour in the area.

Luckily no damage was made to the park. “There was no damage and by the time I got there everything had calmed down,” said Irene.

Rochdale Police confirmed the incident and added: “We received reports of youths setting fires and being abusive. Police attended the scene and the issues were resolved.”
