Castlemere Community Centre Bazaar

A Menna Bazaar was held at Castlemere Community Centre today (Saturday 19 April) for the local community.

The event included a number of stalls such as clothing, accessories, cakes, handbags and health and fitness.

Chairman of the community centre, Hafiz Abdulmalik said: “There was a lot of demand for this event so we decided to hold it. There aren’t many like this in Rochdale.”

The bazaar is held every 3-4 months at the community centre and includes members of the local community setting up stalls.

Hafiz added: “Everyone here is from the local community. We do these events for the community.”

Previous events have seen up to 1,000 people attend.

“It is a very popular event which is always well attended. Later on in the day, the event gets busier and we have seen up to 1,000 people come along to this event” added Hafiz.

Castlemere Community Centre is located on Tweedale Street, Rochdale.
