Day of action to crack down on crime and grime in Milnrow

A day of action to tackle crime and grime in Milnrow will take place on on Wednesday 9 April.

Throughout the day, teams from the council, police, housing associations, alongside community and volunteer groups, will be working together to combat any problems that residents may be facing in a bid to reduce anti-social behaviour.

Police and Community Safety Officers will also be talking to residents to gather intelligence on issues that are concerning them and providing practical security and safety advice.

Safe plating is on offer at Co-op car park between 10am and 3pm. Police officers will fit your vehicle’s registration plates with anti-theft screws.

All ward Neighbourhood Beat Officers will be available in Milnrow Community Park and Milnrow Youth Centre for members of public to discuss any issues and to encourage people to sign up to Home Watch.

Police Community Support Officers will also be on high visible patrol to remove untaxed vehicles and visit vulnerable and elderly residents.

Rochdale Borough Housing will be in Milnrow Memorial Park to help residents look into cases of possible tenancy breaches, and there will be a walkabout on local estates to address any housing issues affecting residents.

There will also be a strong focus on tackling anti-social behaviour in Milnrow and, in particular, any incidents occurring on trams passing through the local area. Police and Community Safety Officers will also be in Milnrow Memorial Park and Milnrow Youth Centre to discuss any issues raised by residents.
