Fashion extravaganza at Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre

Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre held a fashion extravaganza this weekend (Friday 4 April and Saturday 5 April) with a number events taking place in the centre.

Stylist Sally Mansell and her company, The Fashion Show Company, have been in the shopping centre hosting a number of fashion shows to highlight what spring/summer 2014 trends.

Rachel Gough, event manager for the two-day event, said: “We have had five fashion shows on each day and have had a number of different experts
at our beauty booths for people to get tips and advice from.”

Retailers within the centre had the opportunity to show off what they will have on sale to customers for spring and summer. “We have pretty much worked with everyone in the centre for the event,” said Rachel.

Stylist Sally Mansell, who has worked alongside the likes of George Clooney and Mark Whalberg, was brought in for the event based on her expertise. Rachel added: “As a stylist she knows what looks best and knows how to show it off.”

The fashion shows throughout the day also included dance performances and moved throughout the centre.

“There has been a really good reaction from people over the past two days. We have had people see the clothes the models are wearing who have then gone and bought them. People have even commented on how the event has brought some energy to the centre.”

“I hope we can do it again. It has been good to do something a little bit different and bring something different to the centre,” said Rachel.
