Ashworth View Nursery Family Fun Event

Date published: 05 April 2014

Ashworth View Nursery and Pre School in Norden held their first of five family fun events today (Saturday 5 April).

The nursery and pre school, which is for children from 0-8 years old, held an Easter egg hunt with a variety of Easter activities also going on.

Lindsay Morris from the nursery said: “With it coming up to Easter, it seemed appropriate to do an Easter themed event.”

As well as the Easter egg hunt, children could decorate cakes and look at some animals brought in by Ranger Rob.

This was the first event of five that the nursery are holding over the next five months. As well as showing off their facilities, the nursery is raising money for The Gem Appeal.

“We chose the Gem Appeal because they are a local charity and they are a children’s charity so it was an easy choice for us,” said Lindsay.

The Gem Appeal raises money to help fund research into treatments for life threatening, genetic and metabolic disorders.

Lindsay added: “We don’t have a fund-raising total in mind and just hope to raise as much as possible.

“We have had a lot of interest today and have had people in and out all day so it has been a good day.”
