The spring fair raised £6,200 for the Hospice, which surpassed the total raised at last year's fair. Staff and volunteers would like to thank everyone for their attendance and hard work.

Sharron McGowen has raised £2,600 for the Hospice at Brit Craft.

Ella Grace Wilkinson, a year six pupil at Holy Trinity Primary School in Littleborough, raised £125 for the Hospice by completing a sponsored walk around Hollingworth Lake with her friends.

Bacup & Rawtenstall Grammar School has chosen the Hospice as their charity of the year.

Entries for the calendar competition have now closed. A judging panel will now take a look at the entries before they are put on display in the
Wheatsheaf Centre for people to vote on. The entries will be on display from 21 April for a week.

Dates for the Diary

Sunday 27 April – Hospice to Hospice Walk – over 50 people have now signed up to take part in the walk from Springhill Hospice to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Oldham. Walkers will set off from Springhill Hospice at 10:30am.

Woman of Rochdale

The Hospice has started to receive nominations for this year's Woman of Rochdale. The closing date for entries is the 11 April with the ceremony taking place on Friday 9 May.

Go Green for Springhill

Recruitment Solutions North West, Royton Medical Practice and Littleborough Cricket Club have all signed up to take part in the Go Green for Springhill event.

Oulder Hill Community School have also signed up for the event and will be holding a cake sale, own clothes day and a PTA raffle. There are also talks of a gunge the teacher event as well.

Becky Smithers will be holding a green zumbathon on Tuesday 13 May.
