Councillors offer condolences to Hain family

Members of Rochdale Council paid tribute to the Hain family this week after three of them were killed in a car accident.
During Wednesday’s council meeting, Councillor Andy Kelly, ward councillor for Newhey, said: “We would all like to pass on our condolences to the Hain family after three of them were killed in a car crash last week.”
Jeffrey, Marion and Christopher Hain, who were from Newhey, died after their car was involved in a collision with a lorry on the A47 at East Winch on 26 March.
The family, who were all members of St Thomas’s Church, Newhey were all well known in the village.
Details of the funeral are not yet known.
