Year 2/3 class with their African tribal masks
Kentmere Primary School has been working with artist Mrs Lyndsey Fairhurst while learning about Africa.
Both the Year 2 class and Year 2/3 class have been creating African tribal mats and masks.
They have been taught the technique of weaving and they have been carefully weaving bright coloured art straws to create beautiful African tribal mats.
The children have been also been looking at the differences in lifestyle between a child in Africa and their own lifestyles in Smallbridge.
The two classes have looked at animals and famous people throughout their study of Africa.
