Pupils learn the power of education, self-respect & accountability

Kingsway Park High School invited Jim Roberson, the self-styled Discipline Coach, to spend the day working with Key Stage 4 students in preparation for their GCSE examinations.

The students were captivated by his humour, passion and inimitable high energy delivery.

Jim’s messages about the power of education, self-respect, accountability and preparation resonated with the students and they left school with photographs, autographs and, more importantly, the motivation and mentality to make the changes they need to become highly successful in their exams and in life. In the evening Year 11 students returned with their parents for a final session with Jim Roberson before meeting with their teachers for final pieces of advice and revision materials.

Students were still buzzing with new found levels of confidence and drive the following day.

A year 11 student commented: “I now realise that all I have is my education. I am going to stay after school to work and use my revision timetable.”

It was an excellent day and it promises to leave a lasting impression on the students, parents and staff of Kingsway Park.
