Car collides with school bus

A man has been taken to hospital after his Daewoo Matiz collided with a bus taking pupils from Todmorden to Wardle Academy.
The man had to be cut free from his car as he was trapped after the collision. He was then taken to hospital as a precaution and is not thought to have suffered any serious injuries.
It is understood that no passengers or the driver of the bus were injured.
The bus, which was operated by Rossendale Transport, was slightly damaged and was travelling near Bellholme Sports Ground at the time of the incident.
Traffic was disrupted this morning whilst emergency crews dealt with the incident.
No one from Wardle Academy or Rossendale Transport was available for comment when contacted.
