Zoe's going that extra 26 miles to find a cure

Date published: 20 March 2014

Littleborough Crohn's Disease sufferer Zoe Renshaw, who is running the London Marathon on 13 April to raise both awareness of Crohn's and funds for Crohn's and Colitis UK, is hosting an auction on her fundraising Facebook page this weekend.

The auction will start at 6pm on Friday and finish Sunday at 6pm and features handmade items - from candles and jewellery to high quality wooden bowls and even a decoupage elephant - donated to the campaign by local businesses.

Since starting the fundraising and awareness campaign, Zoe has completed two half marathons, a gruelling mud obstacle run and been covered in paint at the Manchester Color Run.

Colitis and Crohn's are bowel conditions which can have a devastating impact on every area of life and currently have no known cure. Around 240,000 people in the UK have Crohn's and Colitis, and more than half are diagnosed when young.

Crohn's and Colitis UK is the major UK charity which offers information and support to all those affected and also funds vital research.
