Paul O’Hara charged with murder

Paul O’Hara, 41, of Honiton Close, Heywood, was last night (Tuesday, 18 March) charged with the murder of Cherylee Shennan.
He is also charged with section 18 wounding and assault with intent to resist arrest.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Burnley Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday, 19 March).
Ms Shennan, 40, of Hardman Lane, was attacked and killed in the street outside her home on Monday afternoon (17 March).
A post mortem examination carried out yesterday (Tuesday, 18 March) showed she died of multiple stab wounds.
O’Hara was arrested nearby a short time later.
