Date published: 18 March 2014
Siddal Moor Students from Year 9 spent the weekend at Ghyll Head Outdoor Pursuits Centre on Lake Windermere in the Lake District.
The trip was organised by Miss Gregory, as a reward for students who had continued to show improvement in all aspects of school.
The weather stayed dry and all students experienced a variety of activities from ghyll scrambling to canoeing and even the washing up!
Teachers even got involved and the students had a thoroughly enjoyable time and tried activities they would never try at home buoyed on by the others in the group.
A great time was had by all and the staff that accompanied the students were very proud of the excellent behaviour shown by the students throughout the weekend and the team spirit which they developed whilst away.
Since returning to school the students have continued to work together to achieve.
