Star Tree Studio celebrates first birthday

Date published: 15 March 2014

The Star Tree Studio in Littleborough celebrated a successful first year today (Saturday 15 March) with a special event.

The studio, which is a children’s arts and craft studio as well as a toyshop, held a craft event which included free activities such as painting and paid activities including face painting.

Children who took part in the paid activities received a free gift from the toy range at the shop and free balloons were also available for the children.

Manager of the studio, Neela Jackson said: “We just wanted to celebrate our first year and say a big thank you to everyone who has helped to keep us going.”

Today’s event was also a way for Neela to say thank you to her loyal customers. She added: “It has been mad today. A lot of the people who have come along have been regular customers so it has been nice to say thank you to them.”

The Star Tree Studio, which is located on Victoria Street in Littleborough, provides fun, educational arts, creative arts and crafts for children of all ages in a friendly creative space.

The studio also provides activities for parties and sells a number of goods in store.

Neela described the past year as having a number of “ups and downs” and said: “We have certainly had our ups and downs but we did it and it is thanks to the people who come in and use us. We have had a lot of support from the people in Littleborough and we couldn’t have done it without them.”

Neela now hopes to expand on what she currently offers to make the next year another successful one. She added: “I want to expand our classes a bit more and spread the word a bit more so more people know we are here."
