The Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre in Rochdale Town Centre held a spring/summer fashion show today (Saturday 15 March) to help retailers showcase their upcoming ranges

The fashion show, which was held on the top floor of the shopping centre, gave retailers the opportunity to show off their newest lines before spring arrives.

Wheatsheaf Centre Manager, Martin Ballard said: “We usually hold one of these shows every year to help the retailers show off their lines."

Retailers including New Look, Peacocks, Evans, Solo and 25 Ten showed off their spring and summer ranges to an audience in the shopping centre.

Mr Ballard added: “Spring is just around the corner so it is nice to do this and give people the chance to see what is on offer.”

Denim, floral and pastel colours were included in a number of the lines displayed with New Look also showing off their latest maternity wear.

As well as the fashion show, a competition was being run to find the next up and coming fashion designer. The competition asked people aged 16-20 to design an outfit with the winning design being made up and displayed in the autumn/winter fashion show.

Mr Ballard added: “We have had a lot of interest today, which is good because there are some really good lines on display.”
