Hamer children’s performance fabulous

Date published: 14 March 2014

As predicted our children’s performance at the Music Festival on Sunday 9 March was fabulous. Mrs Hoyle was adjudicating for the Local Authority and Mrs Coward and Mrs Holland supported our children on the day. We will be placing photographs on the website for you to see them in action.

Also very well done to Mrs Hatcliffe’s class for their performance of ‘Reach ForThe Stars’.

On Wednesday 12 March, Mrs Casey’s class went to Marland Hill Primary School to participate in a singing celebration with the other schools in the IPLCN cluster. Our children sang ‘Teddy Bear Rock and Roll’ and everyone had an amazing time.

Mrs Cowards drumming club on Thursday lunchtimes is very popular and very loud! The children are enjoying learning about rhythm and performing in groups.

On Monday, children in the Key Stage One Unit took possession of the living eggs project. This allows the children to study the process of eggs hatching and the chickens as they develop over the next two weeks. This is the first year that all of the chickens have hatched and we have six boys and six girls on site. We have had a webcam on the enclosure and the children have been able to watch life footage in other classes throughout school.

Just a reminder to parents that only named persons on the contact forms are able to pick up children. If parents wish to add anyone to the form then please do so in the school office. Anyone picking up children must be over the age of 18 and if parents wish for someone on the contact form to pick up children it would be helpful if they would ring school to let us know, so that we can make the class teacher aware in advance to avoid delays in releasing the child. We are a safeguarding school and all of these measures are in place to ensure that the children are safeat all times.
