Spring clean for Smallbridge
Date published: 14 March 2014
Community spirit was alive and kicking in Smallbridge as around 30 residents came together to give the area a spring clean.
On Saturday 8 March, young and old helped spruce up the areas around Stevenson Square, Buckley View, Ditton Mead Close and Lobley Close.
Everyone was provided with equipment and a total of 15 bags of litter was collected.
Senior Library and Information Assistant Nadeem Hussain said: “I would like to thank all residents, Environmental Management, Pennines Township, Rochdale Youth Service, Smallbridge Tenants Association’s junior wardens, businesses and organisations which are supporting us to improve the environment in the borough of Rochdale."
