Police have issued images of a ram-raid on a computer shop in Rochdale.

It happened at around 12.45am on Wednesday, 12 February 2014, at CEX on Yorkshire Street.

A stolen black Vauxhall Vectra estate, reg plate KN55 EWY, was reversed into the roller shutters of the store twice, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

One of the occupants then got out, entered the store and stole a number of computer consoles and other electrical items.

The suspects are all described as white. One had short hair and was wearing a two tone zip up hooded adidas jacket with dark pants and dark footwear. He held back the roller shutters while the burglary took place.

The other two both wore dark clothing.

The Vectra had been stolen two days earlier during a car-jacking on the carpark of Morrisons.

At about 5.30pm on Monday 10 February 2014, a 51-year-old woman was returning to her car in the Morrison's car park on Kingsway, Rochdale.

She saw a man running towards her car and he suddenly produced a large knife.

He demanded the keys off her and drove off in her car. It is believed the car was later stored behind Premier Stores on Oldham Road, Rochdale.

The offender in this case was white, approximately 5ft 5in tall with a stocky build, wearing a full black balaclava with the eyes cut out and all black clothing.

The car was later found abandoned on Surma Close, Rochdale.

Detective Constable Amanda McPartland, based at Rochdale, said: "Thankfully the woman wasn't hurt in the carjacking but she has been left really upset.

"It happened at a busy supermarket at one of the busiest times of the day so, if you were there at the time and we haven't spoken to you yet, then please come forward.

"This car was then used in the ram-raid which caused a huge amount of damage with massive financial implications for the business.

"We have issued these images in the hope that, if you've seen this car, then we really need to speak to you."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 4621 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
