Diesel Locomotive Class 37 37324 at Heywood Train Station for the Spring Diesel Gala
A Spring Diesel Gala involving a number of diesel trains heading to and from Heywood for train enthusiasts to travel on and admire was held today (Saturday 8 March).
A number of locomotives were running on the Bury to Rawtenstall line including the Class 14 D9531 Ernest, the Class 37 37324 and the Class 55, D9009 Alycidon.
A spokesperson for Heywood Train Station said: “It has been quite busy today and we have seen a lot of people coming along.”
The first train departed from Heywood at 9:35am with the last train leaving at 20:37pm.
The event continues tomorrow (Sunday 9 march) with the first train departing from Heywood at 9:35am.
