Middleton Township Meeting as it happened

The meeting started with the PACT meeting report. This is being trailed as part of the Township meetings.

Figures are showing a decrease in the majority of crimes.

Resident’s raise a number of concerns to the officers in attendance.

The open forum is next.

Questions regarding highways and potential development sites are raised.

A street lightning presentation is presented next.

The presentation states that there are two phases of work throughout Middleton.

Councillors are frustrated with the current lighting scheme that is being rolled out and raise a number of concerns to those in attendance.

School governing vacancies are next with one position to be filled.

Councillors agree the recommendations.

The Township plan is next.

With a few amendments, councillors move the report.

The Dusk to Dawn gating order is presented next.

The order is regarding Whitbrook Way and is being implemented as a way of addressing crime in the area.

There will be no financial or legal implications to the council.

The highways investment programme is presented next.

Councillors agree the report.
