Police Inspector Umer Khan will be moving to a role in Corporation Support within Rochdale Police and he will be replaced with Inspector Michelle Hughes.
Inspector Khan will take up his new role from Monday 10 March, which will see him cover a number of areas.
Inspector Khan made the announcement to councillors at yesterday's (Wednesday 5 March) Rochdale Township meeting.
Inspector Kahn said: “I would like to thank councillors for all of your hard work and support. I think we have all worked well together.”
Councillor Cecile Biant said: “We will miss you in that role but hope to see you around Rochdale as much as we have done.”
