On Tuesday 11 March all students will be taking part in an Immersion Day. Each year group will be off-timetable for the day and will be working on a variety of different activities.

Year 7 students will be working on the topic of body confidence, and part of the day will involve a bin bag fashion show!

Year 8 students will be taking part in activities related to town planning. After investigating how the Co-Operative Movement started in Rochdale, form groups will design their own ideal towns which will culminate in a competition to find the best overall.

Year 9 will be receiving a visit from the Humanutopia team. They will spend the day working on the theme of “Who am I?” Students will be invited to reflect upon themselves and the type of person they are, and how they portray themselves to others.

Year 10 students will spend the day working on their ICT and Science coursework.

Year 11 students will be taking part in intervention.

Year 11 Parents’ Evening takes place on Thursday 13 March from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Parents should have received a letter from school regarding appointment times. If you have any queries regarding Parents’ Evening, please contact the school on 01706 645522.

On Thursday 13 March, a Ranger and a selection of exotic animals from the rainforest will be visiting school. This is to enhance the learning of Year 8 Geography students whilst studying their current topic of South America and Brazil. Only students who have opted to take part will be able to participate in the session.
