PACT Meeting

Police PACT (Partners and Community’s Together) meetings provide you with an opportunity to discuss any concerns that you have and to also meet with your local officers and find out what is being done to tackle crime and Anti-Social Behaviour within your area. You can also help to set the priorities that the Police tackle, so it is important that you attend these meetings and have your voice heard. The date, time and venue of the next surgery is 18/03/14 at 7:00pm at Castleton Community Centre.

Domestic burglary for February

Manchester Road, 25 February 2014 - offender approaches premises from unknown direction. Approaches insecure latched garden gate and enters the rear of the resident's premises. The resident (who is inside the house) opens the door and confronts the offender. Offender then makes off from the scene followed by the resident. The offender is detained a short distance away by police.

Elizabeth Street, 21 February 2014 - unknown offender approaches rear of property and enters property via insecure rear kitchen door. Once inside takes items from kitchen worktop and makes off unseen in unknown direction. Resident was upstairs at the time and informant was in the front room.

Chaucer Street, 18 February 2014 - unknown offender/s approach property from the rear, gains entry into garden by means unknown and approaches rear ground floor bay window, then smashes small pane to the right by means unknown. At this time offenders makes off, no entry gained.

Manchester Road, 11 February 2014 - offender/s unknown enters rear garden of property. Using unknown implement prizes and forces open rear ground floor lounge window. Enters via open window and pulls alarm box from internal wall disconnecting alarm system. Offender/s then conducts untidy search throughout property stealing electrical items from various rooms. Offender/s then exits as per entry and makes off in unknown direction.

The Green, Castleton, 6 February 2014 - unknown offender approaches rear of resident's property from Royle Road at the back and climbs over rear fencing. Offender uses unknown implement to smash outer pane of ground floor conservatory door. Offender is disturbed by neighbour prior to entry being gained. Offender makes off over rear fence across wasteland and back onto Royle Road turning right towards Castleton.

Fairway, 4 February 2014 - unknown offender approaches premises from unknown direction. Makes way to insecure front door and enters porch area. Offender enters living room of premises via insecure internal door. Offender removes a mobile phone from the worktop. Offender also carries out an untidy search of a ground floor bedroom and steals cash a knife and an air rifle before removing several model statues (which are placed on the sofa in the living room). The resident (who has been inside the premises) descends the stairs and disturbs the offender who exits via the front door with items from the house. The offender makes good escape in unknown direction.

Chamber House Drive, 3 February 2014 - unknown offender approach property from adjacent grounds gaining access into rear garden of address. Offender then uses unknown implement to smash window and rear sliding patio door allowing access. Offender then takes large freezer bag from kitchen making untidy search of entire house taking property using the freezer bag to carry said items. Offender then exits as entered and then leaves via a ginnel to front which leads towards Clovelli Street.

Moor Park Avenue, 2 February 2014 - unknown offender enters property via insecure front door carries out tidy search of address before leaving with items exits as entry.

Buckley Barn Court, 31 January 2014 - unknown offender/s enters the premises via an insecure front ground floor window and removes a mobile telephone from within the front room. Exit as per entry making good escape by unknown means/route.
