Kingsway - Priority

  • Anti Social Behaviour around the Spring Inn Public House car park, Broad Lane
  • Anti Social Behaviour Moss Street/Milnrow Road

Local officers and PCSOs will be giving additional focus to the priority areas. Providing high visibility presence and dealing with the perpetrators appropriately.

These areas will also be given additional focus by all officers on Friday and Saturday evenings as part of the Rochdale East Anti Social Behaviour Operation.

Domestic Burglary

Worsley Place – 3 February: Unknown offender/s approach front of property from an unknown direction. Offender/s gain entry by forcing the front door open causing damage and having gained entry searched the property moving several items. Offender/s leave the property leaving one item on the drive before becoming involved with neighbour from a nearby address. Offender/s then make off in vehicles in an unknown direction. 

Milnrow Road – 4 February: Unknown offenders approach dwelling from rear and smash bottom pane of glass in back door. Offenders enter and look around to check if anyone is in the house. Offenders turn bedroom light on and wake up resident who shouts at them. Offenders exit as per entry and make off in unknown direction.

Witley Road – 11 February: Unknown offenders gain entry by smashing ground floor window to rear of kitchen reaching in and opening window fully. Offenders then conduct tidy search of kitchen removing contents of freezer and proceed upstairs where they force doors of three bedrooms by unknown means conducting tidy search and then enter bathroom removing bath panel to look behind. At some point loft hatch has been removed but access has not been gained. Offenders then exit via entry point taking no items leaving contents of freezer in kitchen. Making off in unknown direction making good their escape. 

Bilberry Street – 14 February: Unknown offender knocks on front window then go to back door use bodliy force to smash back door and enter via same. Offender picks up kitchen knife from work surface sees resident and tells him to go back into living room after demanding money and computers. Offender goes into living room with knife searched laptop bag and then leaves address via back door still with knife in hand. Offender wearing balaclava and gloves. 

Worsley Place – 21 February: Unknown offender approaches rear of property from rear of property. Offender uses crow bar type instrument to force rear patio door. Offender enters, conducts untidy search of property stealing several items, exits as entered making good there escape. 

Belfield Road – 22 February: Unknown offender/s approach rear yard of house open ground to rear of property. Offender/s enter rear yard use wheelie bin to smash rear ground floor window. Offender/s enter via same and make untidy search of main bedroom then enter living room remove television from wall bracket. Unlock rear door using key left in lock exiting through same. From there through yard onto open ground and make good escape. 

Oldham Road – 22 February: Known offender attends address and on knocking on rear door is refused entry and he pushes his way into the address - offender has verbal argument with resident and prior to leaving takes litre bottle of vodka. Offender makes his way to front of address throws brick through front window of address. Offender makes off and is later arrested by police.

Belfield Road – 25 February: Unknown offender/s approaches the side door of the property. Using unknown instrument the offender/s smash the security glass to the door. The offender/s reach through the hole and use the key situated in the door to unlock the door gaining entry. The offender/s conducts a untidy search of the lounge. The offender/s take and steal property and makes off in unknown direction. 

Croxton Avenue – 26 February: Unknown offenders have climbed over fencing into rear garden then kicked upvc rear door, causing bottom panel to pop out, then gained entry. Conducted untidy search setting alarm off. Also forced open locked door inside address and exit as entry with stolen items towards Durtchall Road.
