Charity race night to raises £2,000

A charity race night raised £2,000 for Cancer Research UK and Springhill Hospice.
16 employers sponsored races from £50 and upwards and other employers sponsored horses.
The Mayor Peter Rush and Mayoress Monica Rush attended. Mayor Rush said: "It's brilliant to see so many people attending and giving time and money to such worthwhile causes."
Michelle Green from Hopwood Hall College said: "The night was a great success and the team raised £2,000 and money is still coming in from companies wishing to donate."
