Alpha to Lisa Stansfield's rescue

Date published: 26 February 2014

A trip to the bank turned into a rescue mission for Andrew Huszar of Milnrow based Alpha Photography when he was called on to help a film crew whose lights had been damaged en route to film Lisa Stansfield.

Andrew went into town to put a cheque in bank, parked on Fleece Street and met a film crew from Bulgaria who were doing a feature on parking meters, they asked if they could interview him regarding parking in Rochdale.

Having done the interview, Andrew told the film crew if they ever needed any help or lights to get in touch and gave them his card.

He got a surprise when the crew called him to say all their lights were damaged in transit and they were due to film an interview with Lisa Stansfield at the Baum - Lisa is performing in Bulgaria soon - and could he help.

Andrew took his lights down to the Baum for them to use.

Lisa was delighted the interview could go ahead and posed for a photo with Andrew and gave him a signed copy of her recently released CD, Seven.

Andrew had previously met Lisa when she was 17 and he was commissioned to photograph her cat.
